Abali Ski-resort
Abali ski resort, the oldest ski resort in Iran, benefits from 16000 square meters area. Located in 57 km east of Tehran with the height of 2650 meters and reaches to 2400 to its lowest level.
To be the first ski resort, it is obvious that the first ski lift ever, which was installed in Iran, was in Abali (in 1953).
Besides that, Abali ski-resort is considered as the birthplace of modern skiing of Iran.

Damavand region is climatically affected by Alborz mountain range. Regarding the diverse temperature situation in the region normally there is mild breeze on the region. As it is clear that, very cool night is expected in the valley since the wind blows through the valley and the mountains.
Abali ski resort has a T-bar lift with the length of 500 meters, plus a platter lift with the length of 300 meters,
It also enjoys from two Doppelmayr lifts with the length of 800 and 1200 meters.
The best time for skiers who choose Abali as their favorite destination is between Januarys to march.
Abali ski resort has professional ski instructors who are operating in the ski school.

Abali ski-resort benefits from huge amenities and services including six restaurants, ski school, rental equipment stores, ski patrol, tennis courts, horse riding, hang gliding and a sufficient parking lot.
Close to the Abali ski-resort, there are hot springs in the region, and Imamzade Hashem shrine and Abali Hotel that you can visit.
About Abali Hotel
Abali hotel, which is abandoned now but it, is established as the national heritages list; as the first modern concrete guesthouse in Iran and is counted as monument. Local people call it “Shale Ouzane”. It’s located 45 km from Tehran and is built by architects from Soviet Union called “Monsieur Mangouf” and two German coworkers called George and Andranik.
