Darbandsar

The newest Ski resort of Iran which is formed under the observation of the years of experiences in Iran Ski history. It is more interesting to know that Darbandsar was founded with cooperation of private companies in Iran.

Darbandsar Ski resort is located at 50km from east and 35km from north of Tehran province, in Darbandsar county, Shemshak city. The lowest and highest altitude of this slope is 2600-3600m.

As the Tehran is almost surrounded by mountains from the north. The mountainous climate influences the weather situation in Tehran, especially in the north of Tehran province and on Alborz high altitudes. 

Regarding the mentioned facts, this area has sub humid and humid climate with cold long winters. The average temperature reaches below the temperature of -50ᵒC in cold months of the year.

Darbandsar Ski resort benefits from wide range of facilities including: 2 seat  chairlift with 1200m length. and 4 seat chairlifts with 800m length located at  altitude of 3750

Platter lift with 700m length and beside that you can find another platter lift suitable for beginners who using the beginner slopes in Darbandsar ski resort.

Gandola lift (including 12 seat cabin in total number of 57 cabin) with 1830m length; In fact, this gondola lift has the capacity of carrying 3000 persons per hour. 

And other facilities like: three  snow plough, two restaurants, ski school and night ski slope.

Ski season in Darbandsar starts from mid-December and lasts normally to mid-April.

One of the best services of Darbandsar resort is gondola lift with 12 seats, carry the skiers to an elevation of 3370m in less than 10minutes. other significant facilities of Darbandsar ski resort including high quality snow making system through the whole ski seasons. There are also a restaurant and coffee shop at the starting point and one at Sarloo peak. Emergency department and first aid facilities are located within the ski slope.
