Yazd Festival

Event location: Saryazd village

Purpose of event: In regards to Bisotoon Festival in recent years, this time Yazd province is the host of rock climbers and adventurers in Iran, Yazd and Saryazd village.

Saryazd village is has 40 km distance from Yazd. 

Why Yazd and Saryazd village? 

Yazd is the first city of raw clay and the second historical city in the world, which shows the history and originality of life of the people of Yazd. The people who bricked the soil and made the brick a house, houses that has built the spectacular villages of Yazd and its amazing community.  Along with villages that represent the lives of the past. There are many beautiful sights waiting for you on your trip to Yazd. 

This festival is held in one of the oldest historical places of Yazd city, Saryazd village. This village is located on the road that leads from Yazd to Kerman and only 5 km away from Mehriz city. Saryazd history and origin backs to circa two thousand years ago. There are you can find various buildings among the village that have survived from different historical periods. Among all these beautiful attractions in Saryazd village, we can mention unique buildings such as Madvar Mountain and springs in the deserts that represent a prosperous life here in the past, as well as numerous aqueducts. Therefore, we can say that this desert village is a paradise for those who want have an adventure in sands of time. 

One of the most important attractions of this village is Saryazd Castle, which is one of the largest and most beautiful castles in Iran in the central desert of Iran. This castle is almost two thousand years old. One of the attractions that has caused Saryazd Castle to be highly regarded in terms of tourism is the existence of the world's oldest bank in Iran and the world. This bank has three floors with an area of ​​7,790 meters and contains 468 rooms made of clay and mud and dates back to the Sassanid rule (Third to seventh century AD).

Festival location

Saryazd village, 300-meter Pirnaraky wall.

This wall is located near one of the oldest Zoroastrian temples in Iran, which adds the grandeur of this wall. Accommodation will be in the old Saryazd caravansary.

Itinerary

Day 1 (2022-05-07)

Depending in the time of arrival the transfer is ready to get you from IKA airport to hotel. Stay the night over at hotel in Tehran. (B, L, D)

Possible activity: Depending on the time of arrival in Tehran, a short city tour can be adjusted to for this day. 

Day 2 (2022-05-08)

After serving breakfast at hotel and check out there is a transfer (VIP bus), managed to take you from hotel in Tehran to Yazd. Lunch will be served in middle of the way on the road. Estimated time of arrival to Saryazd Caravanserai is 8 hours.

Dinner will be served at Caravanserai’s restaurant.

Option of the day: A flight from Tehran to Yazd can be managed, depending on the request of the participants.

Note: Opening ceremony of the festival will be hold in the evening. 

Day 3 (2022-05-09)

After breakfast and distributing lunchboxes to participants, transfer is managed from Caravanserai to Pirnaraky wall. (First day of the Festival).

By end of the first day of the festival, the participants will be transferred to caravanserai. (B, L, D)

Note: Lunch is served as lunchbox and each participant will get their own lunch boxes after serving their breakfast.

Day 4 (2022-05-10)

After breakfast and distributing lunchboxes to participants, transfer is managed from Caravanserai to Pirnaraky wall.

By end of the first day of the festival, the participants will be transferred to caravanserai. (B, L, D)

Note: Lunch is served as lunchbox and each participant will get their own lunch boxes after serving their breakfast.

Day 5 (2022-05-11)

Rest day

Option of the day: 1. City tour of Yazd is managed. So, after breakfast the transfer is ready from Caravanserai of Saryazd to Yazd. Participants who are interested to participate in the city tour can join the tour after the breakfast. Lunch will be served at restaurant in Yazd city. By the end of the city tour, participates will be transfer back to the caravanserai. (B, L, D)

Option of the day: 2. In case participants are eager to spend their day attempting in different sides and routes of Pirnarki wall, the program can be adjusted for individuals.

Note: participants who are eager to have rest day can stay at caravanserai and enjoy their time resting.

Day 6 (2022-05-12)

After breakfast and distributing lunchboxes to participants, transfer is managed from Caravanserai to Pirnakraki wall.

By end of the first day of the festival, the participants will be transferred to caravanserai. (B, L, D)

Note: Lunch is served as lunchbox and each participant will get their own lunch boxes after serving their breakfast. 

Day 7 (2022-05-13)

Departure day, after serving breakfast and check out, a transfer is managed from Saryazd to Tehran and IKA airport. (Transfer is managed depending on the time of departure flight.)
